Solar and wind are both viable technologies for generating electricity in your home. Some areas that have poor sunlight and consistent winds are good locations for wind generation. On the whole, I think that solar (photo voltaic) is a better choice for most situations since sunlight tends to be more consistent than wind in most areas and solar panels have no moving parts.
Our main focus will be examining which technologies give you the best bang for the buck. There is no sense spending $20,000 to get a 10% energy savings when you can spend $1000 on something else and get a 10% savings.
We know a number of people in the industry from scientists working in the industry to green builders, green interior designers and energy efficiency auditors. We will pick their brains to present the best ideas we can.
